The spectacular musical fountains show in Palace of Versailles

Besides all the tourists attractions, such as Tower Eiffel and Palace of Versailles, Paris as an international city has all kinds of interesting events throughout the year. We were excited to attend Paris Exposition in May this year which was truly an eye-opening event with artists, fashionistas, performers, vendors and buyers from all over the world!

There were more than 10 buildings at the event venue, each building had a particular theme such as house & lifestyle, art galleries, fashion & accessories, leisure & daily life, wine & gastronomy, cultures of the world and outdoor concerts. It was so huge that you better be there with a good pair of comfortable walking shoes!

The first stop for us, of course, was the fashion! There were clothing, fabrics, jewelry, accessories, shoes from different designers and vendors around the world, like African waxprint fabrics, Indian shawls, Nepalese jewelry, Peruvian alpaca blankets, Argentina leather goods...countless products, our bags were already heavy from the first section which was a big mistake we made for we had to carry them the whole day!

Africa section, one of our favorite where you could find a lot of african arts and crafts such as indigenous beads, handmade woven baskets, african djembes, hand carved wooden animal figurines...etc. We got so inspired by all the mind-blowing creativities.

The outdoor concerts and carnival was definitely an energy boost in the afternoon, the spectators were joyfully Intoxicated in the exotic and romantic music. On the other side of the vicinity, vibrant dancers, singers and instrumentalists composed the enchanting parade that drew the crowds and applause.

Another inspiring section was the art galleries, it was quite overwhelming to see arts in different forms and types in one place, paintings, graphic arts, decorative objects, lighting art, installation art and artworks in different materials: glass, clay, stone, metal, leather, wood, textile fibres...etc.

House & lifestyle section where to discover the latest trendy and innovative furnishing products and witness how creativity and ingenuity work wonderfully with everyday objects.

Brazil section was a perfect spot for dinner. We enjoyed freshly grilled brazilian BBQ with classic Caipirinha and samba music in the background which made us almost forget we were actually in Paris!

The tropics section where you could find all kinds of Creole cuisine, Polynesian dances and Caribbean music, which was the loudest and most crowded section, one funny thing was despite the fact that all the stands were close to one another, you could hear different music playing out loud from each booth and there was even a DJ booth to make sure everyone was in the party mood which was absolutely amusing and entertaining that you could really feel the passionate tropical atmosphere there, people were gathering around the booths dancing, singing while sipping colorful punch, it was no doubt the center of the night.
