ART TAIPEI is held once a year since 1992 , the International art fair exhibition assembles hundreds of domestic and international galleries which attracts thousands of visitors, professionals, media and collectors every year.
This year brought together 168 galleries, including 88 foreign galleries from Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, the United States, Australia, Dubai, France, Israel, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam, more than 345 artists and 3,000 works of art on display, the largest scale of the calendar year.
One of the amazing Chinese artists, Hongxing Yeh, presented her artworks in a unique way: she created dreamy images in the form of a collage of colorful stickers on canvas, resulting in jewel-like mosaic gorgeous paintings.
Chi-Lan Pa Hao Lan, his mother is from Taiwanese aboriginal tribe, therefore, most of his artworks are inspired by Aboriginal culture. His installation art of 101 wild boar sculptures were made of glass fiber. In addition to the visible Aboriginal artistic language on sculptures, it also refers to the metaphor of the stagnation of Aboriginal society and the desire to break through. Part of the profit will be donated to charity to promote health and welfare in rural villages.
Australian artist Rae Heint utilizes a lot of bold colors and cartoon-like figures to redefine a new style of upbeat abstract expressionism, each of her painting is telling a vivid story.
